Bring the luck of the Irish to your home with one of these simple St. Patrick's Day crafts.
These are fun crafts that encourage fine motor skills, and there are a couple of options for you to consider. You can decide what works best based on the materials you have available, and whether you want to have scissors/cutting be an element of the project.
Both crafts are handprint leprechauns, and they're fun and creative.
One version requires only plain white paper and crayons -- it's that easy! Your child can trace their handprint on the paper, and then use the crayons to make a leprechaun hat and draw a face.
The other option requires markers, construction paper, glue or tape, and scis
sors. Once again, have your child trace their hand on the construction paper, and draw a hat on another color paper. They can choose to add a band and buckle, or any other embellishment they want! Your child will work on their cutting skills and hand-eye coordination as they put together the pieces.
You can use either of these crafts as fun namecards for place settings on St. Patrick's Day (bonus: when you wear green on St. Patrick's Day so you don't get pinched, keep that outfit in mind for March 25th, Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. Go Green for CP!)
